Mangaluru, Nov 17: Children's Day is observed on November 14th each year. This day holds significance as it marks the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, who was known for his affection towards children.
The teachers orchestrated a memorable children's day celebration in Ladyhill English Higher Primary School, filled with joy and educational significance. The day commenced with a solemn prayer service, fostering the sense of divine presence of God. The teachers then delighted the young minds with a vibrant welcome dance performance, spreading joy and energy. The entertainment continued with special performances like skits, songs, and dances. The highlight of the day was a thought-provoking skit, creatively enacted by the teachers, conveying valuable life lessons and emphasizing important values. SPL Riya Poojary and ASPL Sarah Angela Lobo were the chief guests. Riya Poojary in her address expressed her gratitude to the headmistress and teachers for their hard work , support and encouragement for all round development of the students. Sarah Angela Lobo proposed a vote of thanks. Sr Ivy Moras was the master of ceremony.
Later, in the school grounds, lucky games were organized for the students class wise, encouraging teamwork and togetherness among the students. The winners were honoured with prizes by the headmistress and class teachers. Small gifts were distributed during the event as a token of love. This not only added an element of excitement but also served as an encouragement for the children to continue exploring and expressing their skills.
