Mangaluru, Nov 11: The annual day of St Ann's High School, Bolar was held on November 9 in the school hall.
The school was happy to welcome as chief guest Deepali Shenoy, former student and the senior manager Institute of Creative Arts & Design and Visual Media, Yenepoya University. The other dignitaries included the joint secretary of the school Sr Smitha AC and the local corporator Abdul Latif. The headmistress Sr Ruby Dsouza AC, graciously welcomed the gathering. The chief guest in her address extolled the quality of education she received as a student and advised the students and parents to make use of all the opportunities provided to them in the school.
The special prizes and scholarships were awarded to the students.
The cultural programme included an awesome dance drama on the life and mission of the founder of the Apostolic Carmel, Venerable Mother Veronica on the occasion of the Bicentennial celebration of her birth anniversary. The seven emotions of life were beautifully depicted through a colourful ensemble of dances. The finale was a patriotic display, Bharat Darshan which enthralled the audience. The programme was compered by Nishal Lobo, Ashwini and Sweedle D’Souza.
