Mumbai, Sep 19: Karnataka Vishwakarma association celebrated their annual festival at Malkani estate, Malad east on September 17.
Priest Shankarnath Acharya performed homa in the morning. Association vice president Ravish G Acharya and Jyothi R Acharya were in charge of Yajna. Vedamurthi Shankernath Acharya performed the rituals and distributed prasada. Gopalakrishna Acharya, Prasanna Acharya, Gopalakrishna Acharya, Prashanth Acharya, Chetan Prashanth Acharya and
Santhosh Acharya cooperated in the rituals.
Vishwakarma Mahila Balaga Dombivli, Lalitamba Bhajana Mandali Borivili, Vishwakarma Kalikamba Bhajana Vranda Malad, Vishwakarma association office bearers, members, ladies wing, youth wing, education social welfare committee members and devotees performed bhajans.
Association members and children performed classical and other dances. Fancy dress item was held for children. Suresh Shetty Panvel and party sang religious poems.
A religious meeting was chaired by Karnataka Vishwakarma association Mumbai president Sadananda Acharya Kallianpur in the evening. Joint secretaries Prasad Acharya and Sharath G Acharya handed over prizes to talented and competition winners. They felicitated three people who excelled in education and profession. Association educational and social welfare committee president Dr Mohan, internal auditor Arun P Acharya, Sudhir J Acharya, K V Acharya, Sundar Acharya, Sridhar Acharya, members of ladies wing, educational and social welfare committee helped for the success of the celebrations.
Association former president G T Acharya, Nitte Damodar Acharya, Padoor Janardhan Acharya, Mahabala A Acharya, treasurer Baburaj M Acharya, ladies wing president Shubha Sunil Acharya, vice president Usha G Acharya, conveners Sujatha G Acharya, Amita D Acharya, youth wing president Rajesh S Acharya, vice president Rajesh A Acharya and Sandesh J Acharya, conveners Ashwath Acharya, Siddesh D Acharya, office bearers and members were present.
