Udupi, Sep 12: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) in academic partnership with World Association for PhotobiomoduLation Therapy (WALT) and Indian Podiatry Association (IPA), Karnataka Chapter – is jointly organizing 'World Association for photobiomodu Lation Therapy (WALT) Congress 2023' for the first time in India.
The Congress will be held between September 13-16 at Fortune Inn Valley View Hotel, Manipal, with the theme 'Photobiomodulation: The Art and Science of Cellular Healing'. The organizing chairpersons for WALTCon2023 will be Dr G Arun Maiya, dean & professor, MCHP, chief-CDFCR, president-IPA Karnataka chapter, membership director-WALT and Dr A P S Suri, national president of IPA, India’s Leading Podiatric Surgeon.
Dr Rajeev Varshney director, Defence Institute of Physiology & Allied Sciences, DRDO, government of India and Lt Gen (Dr) M D Venkatesh, vice chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal will be present as chief guests for the inaugural ceremony. Guest of honour, Dr Sharath Kumar Rao K Pro vice chancellor - Health Sciences Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal with Dr HS Ballal, pro-chancellor, Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal as the president of function will be presiding over the Congress along with Dr René-Jean Bensadoun, president - WALT, Chair, Centre de Haute Energie, Nice, France, Dr A P S Suri, president, Indian Podiatry Association and Dr G Arun Maiya, dean-MCHP, Manipal, president, IPA- Karnataka Chapter.
The four-day long conference will constitute of two pre-congress workshops on September 13. Other three days will be packed with insightful sessions by different committee members.
