Udupi, May 26: Vidushi Praveena Mohan has arranged a Divine Strokes 'Devatha' art exhibition. The exhibition was inaugurated on May 25, by Dr M Mohan Alva, chairman of Alva’s Education foundation.
Resource persons, Ajay P Shetty, managing direction of Ujwal group, K Narendra Shenoy, proprietor, Lamin Frame Gallary, Manglaluru and Dr Kiran Acharya were present. An art work of Praveena Mohan was given as a token of love to the guests. All the visitors are given a sticker as a token of remembrance was released by Ajay P Shetty.
Ajay P Shetty chief guest of the event said, "Art not only reflects our culture but also shapes civilization. Let everyone patronize art."
The exhibition exhibits paintings made using acrylic paints by Praveena Mohan.
Dr M Mohan Alva said, "The important thing that an artist requires is interest and patience. All human beings are artists; they use art to express their character. All art relating to god will teach a life lesson," adding briefly about Raja Ravi Verma and his contribution towards art.
Astro Mohan, senior photo journalist compered the programme. The vote of thanks was proposed by Prathima acharya.
The art exhibition will remain open from May 26 to 28, 11 am - 7 pm.
