Mangaluru, Sep 29: Yenepoya Institute of Arts, Science, Commerce and Management has taken up an initiative aimed at strengthening and creating a talent pool for the students. In regard to this, a session on Business Process Management in collaboration with NASSCOM and INFOSYS (Govt of India) was held on September 27 at Yenepoya University Mangaluru for all the final year and passed out students of Commerce and Management.
The event started by welcoming the guests by Pinakini Shetty, lecturer, department of Commerce of YIASCM. There, after Sharath Chandra, head of Learning and development, Infosys BPM gave a glimpse of the objectives and goals of the session. Later an enlightening session from Jasbir Kaur, principal of learning and development, Infosys BPM was conducted.
Dinesh, business leader of NAASCOM, and Satish, who is driving customer success at NAASCOM, gave a practical demonstration regarding logging into the Future Skills Prime which galvanized the young minds. Future Skills Prime is a digital skilling initiative that has been developed in strong partnership with the IT industry, academia and government. Funded by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) and implemented by NASSCOM, this learning platform is the first of its kind public-private partnership that has been created to give an opportunity to every Indian citizen to skill themselves to be able to take advantage of the opportunities being created by these digital technologies.
Sridevi, deputy director of NASSCOM, gave a brief explanation about the various job opportunities available in Infosys BPM and various opportunities available for young job aspiring minds.
The interactive session culminated with a vote of thanks proposed by Pinakini Shetty. The session was headed by Pavitra Shetty, placement officer YIASCM.
