Mangalore: St Vincent Ferrer Church Platinum Jubilee Celebrations on Jan 26

Mangalore, Jan 19: The platinum jubilee celebrations of St Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, will be held here on Wednesday January 26.
 
Bishop Dr Robert Miranda of Gulbarga diocese will celebrate the solemn Mass in the church at 5.00 pm on Wednesday.
 
Bishop Dr Aloysius Paul D’Souza of Mangalore diocese will preside over the stage programme that will be held after the Mass.
 
Oscar Fernandes, MP and member of CWC, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
 
A musical evening by eminent artistes of the parish will be held as part of the entertainment programme followed by the fellowship dinner.

    Firstly congratulations to the parish memebers of valencia parish, who have seen to grow and multiply over the decades.
    I fail to understand why do we need to invite useless politicans as chief guests for these events, There are many people who have done great work for society silently,in line of the teachings of our lord jesus cheist, i strongly feel, one of them should be awarded, appreciated and treated as chief guests, rather than these thick sinned politicans.Any comments!!!!!
