Sullia, Jan 22: Dakshina Kannada district deputy commissioner, Dr Rajendra K V, noted that there is demand in religious centres for offering of puja and other services. He said he would be holding a meeting of temple administrations, officials and people's, representatives next week to discuss the matter. If the government gives its nod, he said he will allow services to be offered in temples from next week onward.
He along with zilla panchayat chief executive officer Dr Kumar, visited Kukke Subrahmanya temple on Friday January 21 and reviewed the situation. He collected details of the Vedic scholars who perform Sarpa Sanskara services in the temple and assured to send a report on the ground reality to the government.
He noted that the government has lifted the weekend curfew. He also stated that further decisions for coronavirus regulation in the district will be taken after holding a meeting with health professionals, experts, officials and people's representatives where guidelines will be chalked out implemented for being implemented.
