Udupi, Nov 27: Speaking on the issue of ‘headache: then-today-tomorrow’ on Friday November 26, Padma Bhushan Dr B M Hegde said that cancer develops normally because of over eating and breeding of feelings like frustration, jealousy and animosity about others, as per a research conducted by a London institution. He added that cancer does not get aggravated, if the patients regulate their food intake. His talk was a part of a two-day workshop being held in Shirdi Saibaba Cancer Hospital auditorium Manipal by the Ayurveda department of Kasturba Hospital.
Hegde said that human body has sanctity of its own, and headache has its roots in the body and not the head. “Its cause needs to be treated, not its symptoms. Enthusiasm to continue to work automatically ensures good health. Now-a-days, people despise truth and honesty, and run behind money and fallacies. Ayurveda medicines support bodies while allopathic medicines many a time, are detrimental to health. Unnecessary and superfluous medicines are the leading causes of death, followed by cardiac arrests and cancer, as per an audit conducted in USA recently. Even milk is becoming poisonous because of overuse of chemicals. The entire body needs to be treated, not specific ailing parts. Unwanted things are now being marketed through advertisements,” Hegde remarked.
The workshop was inaugurated by Manipal University registrar, Dr G K Prabhu. He said that Ayurveda, as compared to other systems of medicines, helps in completely rooting out diseases and stopping recurrence of the ailments.
Dr K J Malagi welcomed. Dr M S Kamath explained about the aim of the workshop. Dr Basavaraj S Hadapad proposed the vote of thanks.
