Bantwal, Dec 24: A scooter accident in Sajipmunnuru on Tuesday, December 24, took an unexpected turn when illegal beef transport was found on one of the vehicles. The incident, which occurred at Gandhinagar Cross, has led to a case filed by Bantwal Town Police.

Anuradha K, a resident of Dasaragudde, was en route to work when the accused, driving recklessly and at high speed, collided with her scooter. Both riders fell and were injured, but what followed was more shocking — plastic-wrapped bundles of meat fell from the accused’s scooter.

The accused quickly fled, and while his identity remains unknown, the complaint suggests he was transporting beef from Sajip to Melkar for sale.

Police have registered a case, and investigations are ongoing.
