Gulbarga, Nov 25: Relating to property dispute, distinguished writer, Geeta Nagabhushan (69), was attacked by her relatives on Wednesday November 24. Her son-in-law, Aravind Guruji, Vasanti Guruji, Anil Hundekar, and a few others are accused of launching this assault. A case was registered in this connection, with M B Nagar  police station here.

Geetha, who was the president of the 76th All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelan held during February this year at Hubli, has a two-storied house on Ring Road in the city. She had passed on a portion of this property to her two children, Bharat (first floor), and Kavyashree (second floor). Her daughter, Kavyashree, had married Aravind Guruji about two decades ago. After differences arose between Kavyashree, who works as a lecturer, and Guruji, she had started residing with her mother, but both her son and daughter continued to live with their father.

Aravind Guruji and others allegedly attacked Geetha Nagabhushan, demanding for transferring the property that stands in the name of Kavyashree, to her children.
