Mangalore: Fr Muller Holds Lecture on HPV, Epidemiology, Disease Burden and Prevention

Mangalore, Nov 23: A guest lecture on Human Papilloma Virus [HPV] - Epidemiology, Disease Burden and Prevention was organized by the department of microbiology, Fr Muller Medical College (FMMC) conference hall on Monday November 22.       

Dr Avinash K Shetty,, associate professor of paediatrics,  medical director, paediatric HIV programme, paediatric infectious disease division,  Wake Forest University Of Health Sciences, Winston Salem, North Carolina, US was the speaker. Fr Denis D'Sa , administrator, FMMC, Dr B Sanjeev Rai, CMS, FMCI and Dr Jayaprakash Alva, dean, FMMC were the dignitaries on the dais.

Teaching faculties and the PGs of FMMC, FMHMC, FMCON and the staff nurses also attended the lecture.

Dr Anup Kumar Shetty, assistant professor, department of microbiology introuced the guest, while Fr Denis D'Sa welcomed the guest.

The talk was followed by a brief discussion on the topic. As a token of gratitude Dr J P Alva presented a memento to the guest. The vote of thanks was delivered by Hilda Pinto, department of microbiology.
