Udupi, Nov 2: The 66th Karnataka Rajyotsava was celebrated at Christ School, Manipal on November 1. 

The programme was inaugurated by lighting the lamp. 

Fr Fredrick D'souza, correspondent inspired the students with his insightful message on the occasion.   

Eliza Vaz, Principal in her message highlighted the importance of celebrating Karnataka Rajyotsava.

Various programmes were performed by the students. Drama acts, dance and rendition of songs which upheld the rich heritage and culture of Karnataka were performed by the students. The leaders who fought to uphold heritage and culture of Karnataka were remembered on the occasion.     

Fr Fredrick D'souza, correspondent Eliza Vaz, principal Regina Fernandes, school managing committee member were present on the occasion.  

Poorvika compered the programme. Prajna spoke on the importance of celebrating Karnataka Rajyotsava. Adithya Krishna welcomed the gathering.  Sanjana Salian rendered vote of thanks.

Rendition of state anthem was also held by the students.
