Mangaluru, Oct 23: With the blessings of A Shama Rao founder of Srinivas University, and under the guidance of Dr CA A Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University, Mangaluru, 'World Mental Health Day - 2021' was celebrated.

The programme was organized by the College of Allied Health Sciences, department of Clinical Psychology, in the Seminar Hall, College of Allied Health Sciences on October 12 at 10:30 am. This year the programme was themed as 'Mental Health in an Unequal World.'

The chief guest, Prof Swaminathan addressed the gathering. The prominent dignitaries present on the dais were Dr Anil Kumar, registrar, Srinivas University, Prof Swaminathan, dean, College of Hotel Management and Tourism and Devaseelan, Dean, College of Allied Health Sciences.

The programme started with the prayer song performed by the students. Inauguration was done by lighting the traditional lamp by the guests. The welcome address was given by Priyadhersini S. The significance of Mental Health Day and highlight of the course was presented to the audience by the students of MSc and BSc.

The programme had quizzes, games, and several other cultural activities and the programme was ended by a vote of thanks given by Vicky Josvita D’Souza.
