Bangalore, Sep 28: Former state Chief Minister, H D Kumaraswamy, in a volte-face, confirmed on Monday September 27 that he had meet Congress leader, Siddaramaiah and held discussions with him.
“We had met after the by election results of Gulbarga South and Kadur assembly constituencies were announced. It is true that former union minister, C M Ibrahim, was present during our discussions,” he stated.
He however, hastened to add that it was a courtesy visit and not an official meeting of two party leaders. Kumaraswamy, while confirming that the two leaders had held discussions on individual level, added that further decisions have to be taken by the high command of the Congress party.
Refusing to divulge details of the discussions, he said the talks hovered around prevalent political scenario, including the slumping standards of politics in the state and anti-people stance of the state government. “Discussions were also held about the coming zilla and taluk panchayat elections,” he revealed.
