Mangaluru, Aug 15: Deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra instructed the officials concerned to strictly implement the Covid guidelines given by chief minister Basarvaraj Bommai during his visit and thereby control the coronavirus positivity rate in the district.

Dr Rajendra was speaking at the video conference held with district and taluk level officers on Saturday, August. He further said, “Coronavirus infected people are being admitted to care centres. If they move around in public, FIR should be registered against such people. If the infected patient is a pregnant woman, then she should be admitted into a hospital. If anyone needs relaxation from getting admitted into care centre, then it should be brought to the notice of tahsildar, EOs of taluk panchayats and taluk health officer.

“Officials have to mandatorily visit the houses of people who are in home isolation. If any movement of people around such houses are seen, the same should be video recorded and FIR should be registered. Testing should be increased. Every day at least 12,000 to 15,000 people need to be tested. There is no relaxation for testing on Sundays and holidays also.

“All taluk health centres should have necessities and equipment related to Covid infection control. The work of detecting infected people should take more pace. Block education officers should be used for this purpose.

“If required funds will be released for taluk health officers to manage Covid situation. Weekend curfew should be strictly imposed. If laboratory experts are required, they should be recruited. Vehicles and ambulances should be taken on hire basis if required.”

MCC commissioner Akshay Sridhar, ADC Prajna Ammebala, DHO Dr Kishore and others were present.

Giving statements no use. Must implement by pet trolling the streets. One such location is Bejai KSRTC bus stand and it’s vicinity.

Looks good while speaking. But reality is different. Most of people, old and young dont go to check even they have symptoms. All think they are ok and normal flue and cold. Only when they get severe illness then they go to hospital. How anyone know that they have got covid or not. Is there any system in mangalore to check the sick patients travelling in Public transport etc.
