Bengaluru, Aug 12: Kanara Catholic Association (KCA) is launching its Khobar in a unique and innovative manner, through its E-Khobar initiative on Independence Day 2021. In todays day and age, when people are swamped with information and details, there is a system overload. People only want relevant information, or information that is of particular interest to them without having to sift through pages of information, even in a PDF format.

Enter the E-Khobar. The E-Khobar is in a website format with a number of features like initiatives, blogs, and achievements. It is realtime, and will be available 24/7. Most importantly, KCA members ongoing achievements are given pride of place. Information will be uploaded in the E-Khobar and the link sent to members to view at a time of their convenience. Unlike a normal newsletter which is updated quarterly, the E-Khobar is updated as the news, events or achievements happen, so it is an almost live interaction with members.

The other great aspect of E-Khobar is that KCA member businesses can be highlighted to help them in their endeavours. KCA has a small business group with a lot of homemakers as well as established entrepreneurs. The best part about an E-Khobar is that the information never goes away unlike a traditional newsletter where new editions cannot have old data. Here the information is always available 24/7 for reference or potential business

The launch of the E-Khobar on 15th August will have a quiz to be answered by members at 5 PM. According to KCA President, Hilma Roach, “We expect a lot of interaction and traction in our E-Khobar as it is convenient, informative and offers great networking opportunities. It also allows for the exposure of smaller members who have small businesses (like home cooks) who will benefit tremendously from this initiative”.

The first quiz is sponsored by the Konkan, a great seafood cuisine restaurant, and Keroline who makes great homemade jams, pickles, wines and other condiments. The KCA Media and Communication sub-committee who runs this initiative is keen to increase engagement by having regular quizzes for the E-Khobar. On the cards is a regular Konkani quiz for KCA members with Marjorie Texeira doing the honours. All in all a great initiative.
