Mangaluru, Aug 6: MP representing Dakshina Kannada constituency, Nalin Kumar Kateel, has submitted a request to union minister for highways, Nitin Gadkari, seeking repair of the ghat sections of the highways which have been damaged due to landslides.
"Due to heavy rainfall, landslides have happened in the national highway 73 which asses through Charmadi Ghat and highway 75 passing through the Shiradi Ghat. This has given rise to problems in road connectivity," Kateel told Gadkari when he met the union minister at Delhi.
Minister Gadkari who responded to the request positively, promised to issue instructions to the officials on these demands and to meet them as early as possible, a release from the office of the MP stated.
