Udupi: Loan instalment not paid - Cheating case filed

Udupi, Aug 5: A case of cheating is filed in Malpe police station by Raghavendra Naika, resident of Lakshmi Nagar Kodavoor on accused Purushothama of not paying the loan instalment of the car as agreed.

As per the complaint, complainant Raghavendra Naika had made an agreement to sell his Swift car for Rs 4.50 lac to accused Purushotham. An agreement was done in this connection and the accused paid the complainant an amount of Rs 1.50 lac in cash. In the agreement, Purushotham said that he will pay the pending loan of Rs three lac that the complainant has in Sriram finance. However, the accused did not pay the same and the finance company is harassing the complainant. So, a cheating case is filed on accused Purushotham by complainant Raghavendra.

The case is registered under private complaint and IPC 406, 420 in Malpe police station.
