New corona cases in K'taka plunge to 13,800; 25,346 recoveries in single day

Bengaluru, Jun 5: Karnataka on Saturday, June 5 registered 13,800 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 2,68,275. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally has come down to 2,686 new cases.

As many as 364 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Friday, with Bengaluru Urban alone recording 206 deaths and Ballari 9. With this, the death toll so far has risen to 31,260.

The state recorded 25,346 discharges from hospitals, taking the total discharges so far to 23,83,758.

So far, Karnataka has seen 26,83,314 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 9.69%, while the case fatality rate for the day is 2.64%.

As many as 1,49,77,980 people have received vaccination so far.

    It means even if lock own in progress, cases are rising. I could realize this in Bangalore, from the traffic in Bangalore even after 10 A.M. Some strict D,C's follow the directives of of the state Government but most of the Government servants will never follow and will never implement, even thou the rules are made only for the Government benefit.
