'Phone-in Sangeetha Taare' was a very unique concept on television for viewers. The programme which started 11 months ago and telecasted every Saturday at 9 pm, had created a place in the hearts of the audience. Never before on television was witnessed a singing reality TV show where one could sing via telephone call and the judges would rate the singers’ performance and give feedback.
In addition to the good response the programme received, it turned out to be a stress-buster for many who were inside their homes during the lockdown.
As many as 400 contestants took on each other for a place in the final 16. The finals between the top 16 went on for two months in which the singers had to sing at Daijiworld's studio.
Mohammed Iqbal Katipalla and Soumya Bhat were the esteemed judges of 'Phone-in Sangeetha Taare'. Managing director of Daijiworld Media Private Limited Walter Nandalike hosted the programme.
