Goa Arts and Literature Festival 2025 to Begin on Feb 13

Panaji, Feb 7: The 13th edition of the Goa Arts and Literature Festival (GALF) is set to commence on February 13 at the International Centre Goa (ICG), with an inaugural session featuring renowned Sahitya Akademi award-winning writer Shanta Gokhale and acclaimed academic, poet, and author Sumana Roy as keynote speakers.

The opening ceremony, scheduled for 5 pm, will also showcase the unveiling of GALF’s official artwork, created by artist Sonia Rodrigues Sabharwal. Adding to the literary ambiance, poet Ramesh Ghadi will present a special poetry reading.

The evening’s highlight will be a discussion on Scottish historian William Dalrymple’s latest book, The Golden Road: How Ancient India Transformed the World, featuring an insightful conversation with Padma Bhushan awardee Dr Vidya Dehejia.

Following the inaugural event, the main festival on February 14 and 15 will feature a diverse range of literary activities, including book discussions, poetry readings, and book launches. GALF 2025 promises to be a vibrant celebration of literature, culture, and creative expression.
