Udupi, Feb 2: Pradeep B R, professor of MITE College, who was the chief guest on the occasion, said that the students of undergraduate education need to embrace the value of teaching along with imaginative ideas.

Verina D'Souza, a professor at MITE College who arrived as a resource person said, "It is today necessary for students in rural areas to acquire skills to face competitive exams for higher employment after graduation. The Moodbidri-MITE, Mizar College and the Shirva St Mary's College, in mutual agreement organized in the backdrop of the college a 'Life and employability skills' programme, offering students the right guidance to find a fabulous job.

Vittal Nayak, the in-charge principal of the college who presided over the speech said, “When students take advantage of such programmes, they will be able to find employment.

Lieutenant K Praveen Kumar, head of Computer Science department at the college and director of Information Technology said that the objective of the programme is to meet the challenges of the new professional skills development in the workplace.

The programme was attended by lecturers Sushma, Divyashri, Prakash and students and faculty of Computer Science. Kripa B Acharya led the prayer while Siyana Bhanu welcomed the gathering. Daakshayani proposed the vote of thanks while Shruti C Poojary compered the programme.
