Udupi, Jan 18: A special annual training five day camp in connection with the army's certificate examination was held under the guidance of college NCC officer Lieutenant K Praveen Kumar with the full-fledged support of the commanding officer, Colonel Badri Prasad and his staff from January 11 to 16 at St Mary's College, Shirva.
The principal of the college, Dr Herald Ivan Monis ran for the presidency. Youth can become physically and mentally fit by participating in such camps and learning about new forms of learning, life coordination and higher education in the future of cadets for certification exams; in his presidential speech, he also spoke about the possibility of employment.
Hawaldar Sonam Konchak and Phishal Badritmang of the 21 Karnataka Battalion NCC Udupi unit, who arrived as a resource person, was instrumental in equipping the cadets of an energetic army with NCC tests and conducting training on how to read the map, drill, firing and handling weapons.
Colonel Badriprasad, commanding officer of the 21 Karnataka Battalion NCC Udupi Unit, lecturer Yashoda, former cadets Jackson Francis Cabral, Godwin Monis Gabral, Sera Mathe Mackwan fully coordinated the training.
Sergeant Major Pratima Acharya render the prayer, Sergeant Raina Andrade welcomed the gathering, junior under officer Pravita Acharya proposed the vote of thanks and Corporal Rion Rishi Alphonso compered the programme.
