Karkala, Nov 27: The department of Mechanical Engineering of NMAMIT is organizing a two-day national e-conference on ‘Sustainable Machining Strategies for Better Performance’ during November 27-28 funded by AICTE, New Delhi.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr P V Rao, professor at IIT Delhi, who also delivered the keynote address on the theme of the conference. Dr Niranjan N Chiplunkar, the principal, presided over the function and released the Abstract Proceedings of the conference. Dr Shashikantha Karinka, head of the department of Mechanical Engineering, welcomed the gathering. Dr Srinivasa Pai P, the organizing secretary gave an overview of the conference. Dr Rashmi P Shetty compered the event.

A total of 23 technical papers from Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra and Punjab were presented during the four technical sessions. Invited lectures of experts from IIT Palakkad, NITK Surathkal and NMAMIT, Nitte were arranged during this conference.
