Udupi: Bhandarkar’s College Student Drowns at Gangolli

Mangalore/Udupi, April 27 : (DHNS): A student drowned at Gangolli on Monday. The deceased has been identified as Chinmayanand Hebbar, a student of Bhandarkar’s College in Kundapur. 

He along with his friend Royston Pinto were swimming when the incident took place. Though Pinto tried to save Hebbar, he too was washed away in the strong current. However, he was rescued by the locals.

Hebbar is the son of Shubhada English Medium School Principal Bhaskar Hebbar. A case has been registered.
