Mangaluru: New provincial, councillors, superior felicitated at Infant Mary Parish

Mangaluru, Aug 9: The Solemn Mass was celebrated at 8.30 am at Infant Mary Church, Bajjodi wherein new provincial superior for Karnataka Goa Province Fr Pius James D'Souza was the main celebrant. The Mass was concelebrated by the II councillor - Fr Melwyn D'Cunha, IV councillor - Fr Deep Fernandes,  new superior of St Joseph’s Monastery, Carmel Hill - Fr Charles Serrao, parish priest Fr Ivan D'Souza‌, companion priest Fr Patrick Lobo, Fr Joseph D'Souza and Fr Rayan Pinto.

Fr Deep Fernandes in his Homily preached on the theme - Gods assurance to be with us at all times and that we need not fear. The Holy Mass was followed by felicitation by Fr Ivan D'Souza, Fr Patrick Lobo, vice president Prakash Saldanha and secretary Irene Pinto to the provincial, councillors and superior. A farewell was expressed to Fr Joseph D'Souza by presenting him with a bouquet of flowers, thanking him for his selfless service in the parish and a warm welcome was given to Fr Rayan Pinto into the parish family. Joseph Mascarenhas compered the felicitations.

Fr Provincial thanked the priests and the parishioners for their love and prayers. Parish priest Fr Ivan D'Souza thanked everyone.
