Mangaluru Jul 7: Ullas Kamath, joint managing director Jyothy Laboratories, and Pradeep Pai, managing director Hangyo Ice Creams Pvt Ltd, have been appointed as chairman and member of Government of Karnataka's Vision Group for the establishment of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing cluster in Dharwad district.

An order dated July 1 was passed that Ullas Kamath and Pradeep Pai will be part of Vision Group.

Ullas Kamath and Pradeep Pai hail from Mangaluru and have been the strong pillars of World Konkani Centre. It is a proud moment for the Konkani community that two eminent personalities are leading the Vision Group.

Ullas Kamath’s Jyothy Laboratories, a leading FMCG manufacturer of several brands, has played a pivotal role in establishing an FMCG manufacturing hub in Dharwad district and also successfully roped in investments from major FMCG players in the proposed hub.

Ullas Kamath has also been a constant part of Prerna and been inspiring several youths, while Pradeep Pai has been encouraging youngsters from the Konkani community in various fields.
