Bhopal, Feb 22: Madhya Pradesh deputy chief ministers Jagdish Devda and Rajendra Shukla on Friday reviewed preparations ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Chhatarpur on February 23, where he is set to lay the foundation stone for a 100-bed cancer hospital and address a public gathering.
The senior leaders conducted an on-site inspection, held a high-level meeting with officials overseeing the arrangements, and directed the Chhatarpur district administration to ensure all preparations are in place.

Following the review, the deputy CMs visited Bageshwar Dham and met with Dhirendra Shastri, the spiritual leader spearheading the hospital project.
The foundation stone for the cancer hospital will be laid by PM Modi, marking a significant step in healthcare development for the region. Former Delhi BJP President and MP Manoj Tiwari also joined the discussions.
As part of the three-day event, a mass marriage ceremony will be held, where 251 underprivileged girls will be married. The ceremony will be graced by President Droupadi Murmu on February 26.
Chhatarpur District Collector Parth Jaiswal stated that comprehensive security and logistical arrangements are being implemented to accommodate the large gathering.
• 1,500+ police personnel to be deployed for security.
• 100+ CCTV cameras installed for surveillance.
• Venue divided into 30-35 sectors for crowd management.
• 25-30 large LED screens to be set up for public viewing.
• Temporary hospital at the venue for medical emergencies.
• Traffic management plan in place to avoid congestion.
• Water and refreshment zones arranged for devotees.
With security tightened and public facilities enhanced, authorities are ensuring a smooth and well-organized visit for PM Modi and President Murmu at Bageshwar Dham.
