Udupi, Jun 27: “BJP government in the state was unjust as it did not appoint any authority for Udupi urban development from Udyavara, Korangrapady, Alevoor and 80 Badagabettu villages of Kaup constituency. It reflects the neglect and failure of Kaup MLA Lalaji Mendon toward development of this part and people,” stated former president of Alevoor gram panchayat Harish Kini in a press release.
“Udupi urban development authority receives sufficient income from here in the name of development cess. The people here were taken into confidence and appointed as members and presidents in the past. There may be setbacks for development this time as no member is appointed from here. Therefore, the chief minister is requested to appoint at least one person from this area and set right the injustice,” he stated in the press release.
