Ramanagara: Doctor couple causes 25 corona positive cases, 800 under scanner

Ramanagara, Jun 20: A doctor couple from Kanakapura in the district who had treated an aged man of coronavirus positive, caused the disease to spread to 25 persons. Now the health department has been keeping a close watch on over 800 persons including family members, who werein contact with the couple.

The doctor couple have their clinic on Bengaluru-Mysuru Road at Kanakapura. A few days back, they had treated an aged textile merchant. After the man died, it came to light that he was infected with coronavirus.

The doctor couple then got themselves tested and the infection was confirmed. Later, based on the information of their patients, checks were conducted and as on Friday, 25 infected cases were found. This information has given rise to jitters among many people including pregnant and puerperal women who had been treated by the couple in the recent past.
