Mangaluru, Jun 17: The district BJP and Congress paid homage to the 20 Indian soldiers, who were killed in Ladakh following a clash with Chinese troops, here at Kadri memorial on Wednesday, June 17.
Speaking to the media, state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel said, "We all stand united with the Indian army and will raise our voice against China. Prime Minister Modi will surely take a bold decision on this."
The Karnataka BJP president, Nalin Kumar Kateel also laid a wreath on the memorial at Kadri. Former MLC Ganesh Karnik, former MLA Yogish Bhat, district BJP president Sudharshan Moodabidiri, mayor Diwakar and others were present.
Meanwhile, the district Youth Congress led by its president Mithun Rai laid a wreath on the memorial as he paid homage to 20 soldiers. He also urged that Prime Minister Modi give a befitting reply to China and also call for boycotting China products. "China has joined hands with Pakistan and hatched a conspiracy to acquire the borders," he said sternly.
