Beltangady: Officials raid hotels, shops violating lockdown, impose fines

Daijiworld Media Network – Beltangady (EP)

Beltangady, May 25: Officials of Beltangady town panchayat on Monday May 25 swooped down on shops violating the lockdown guidelines and slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on hotels and shop owners.

The raid was led by chief officer Sudhakar.

Tender coconut water can only be sold as a takeaway, but two shopkeepers were allowing customers to consume it in their premises. The team has imposed fine on the shops in this connection. Those who had come without wearing masks were made to pay Rs 50 each as fine.

They warned the public through loudspeakers to maintain social distance, wear masks mandatorily, not to bring children and elderly persons to the market and observe other lockdown guidelines strictly.

Hotels can serve food only through takeaway parcels. Seven hotels which violated the rule were fined Rs 5,000 each. Raids will be conducted every day henceforth and violators will be fined, the officials said.

Engineer Mahaveera Ariga and police department personnel were present during the raids.

I wonder from which scientific research it was found wearing a mask prevents its transmission from the wearer to others or from others to wearer?
According to expert report this can be compared to football goal keepers net is used to prevent mosquitoes from either coming in or out. When the size of the virus is 100 microns which can easily pass through the pores that let in or out along with the air from the masks.
Secondly some officers are going overboard with restrictions as Pandemic tag has given them extra powers to harass people.
In US 2 top courts have overturned these rules & asked the police & governors not to infringe people's First Amendment Act- that is -Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances. There too police have imposed heavy fines on beauty parlor owner for opening her salon & raided her home without her presence to give her kids to others in adoption.
India too needs these laws to prevent freedom being curbed in future.

    Great Job Sudhakar,

Before taking 'Golibaje' parcel to home...Can we taste a sample at Restaurant to confirm its tasty please?...

This sampling of 'Golibaje' also warrants your Rs 5000 Fines??...

Last question...Can Restaurant Owner pay fines in the form of 'Golibaje' instead of money...if Restaurant owner has no cash ready ???...

This Shudakar should be given 'Arjuna Award' during Indian Republic day Parade ....in Delhi...for his meritorious service....

    ...Tak...Takk...

Its given for sportsmen ./ Kalakars / achievers like Sudhakar....who get pleasure in fining shop keeper Rs 50 fine...if somebody drinks tender coconut in his shop instead of taking it to his house and drink....

If drinking tender coconut at SHOP will trigger Corona attack instead of drinking it at home...Probably you may be a potential Nobel prize candidate this year....for Corona research along with Saddu Gowda...

    ...Tak...Takk...

After 2014 is there any respect for the award and awardees??????..... Wise people are returning the most prestigious awards. Govt is giving awards not to the deserving but to its own chosen no matter what is thier background, contribution and merit. Here govt itself has insulted the awards. Don't blame people if they point out what they observe.

Why are you making a joke on everything? Almost all the posts have you making jokes on 1 or the other things. @Admins it is very important to moderate every information people post here.

Everyone is doing their part in coming out of this bad time. Police if doing their part too.(in fact very well) If possible make sensible comments.

Also if possible do your part and if you have done so that's great. But don't take a serious matter to jovial lines ALL THE TIME.
