Mangaluru, May 23: Five persons who were diagnosed with coronavirus infection, were discharged from the hospital on Saturday May 23 after they fully recovered from the infection.
A warm send-off programme was arranged at 11 am today for them on behalf of the district administration in front of AYUSH block of Wenlock Hospital. One among the healed patients is an aged person who has lost his eyesight.
Hospital superintendent Dr Sadashiva Shanbhogue, informed that three among the discharged patients belong to Bantwal and two others are from Boloor.
P-675 a 37-year-old woman and P-658 a 51-year-old man, both resident of Boloor were discharged. P-777 a 30-year-old man, P-778 a 60-year-old man and P-779 a 70-year-old woman, all residents of Bantwal were also discharged.
After the discharged patients left, COVID hospital is now left with 31 patients. Three are being treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital. It was informed that the condition of all the COVID-19 patients in the hospital is stable.
