Mangaluru: IndiGo, SpiceJet to operate 12 flights from May 25

Mangaluru, May 23: On the basis of instructions received from the ministry of civil aviation at the centre to begin flight operations, flights will initially begin from the international airport here to Bengaluru, Mumbai and Chennai from May 25.

Three SpiceJet fights will take off to Bengaluru and Mumbai destinations while three IndiGo flights will fly to Mumbai, Chennai and Bengaluru. Six aircrafts will undertake 12 flights every day. Air India, it is learnt, is yet to finalise its flight schedules.

As per current information, SpiceJet flight will leave Bengaluru at 8.30 am and 7 pm on May 25. IndiGo flight also will leave Bengaluru at 5.55 pm. SpiceJet flights to Bengaluru will be at 10.20 am and 9.35 pm. IndiGo flight leaves at 7.30 pm from Mangaluru.

The SpiceJet flight from Mumbai will leave at 7.05 am while IndiGo will leave at 9.30 am for Mangaluru. From here, SpiceJet flight will leave for Mumbai at 9.05 am while IndiGo will take off to Mumbai at 11.40 am.

Sources also said that IndiGo flights from Chennai will leave at 5.45 pm from Chennai. The flight till from Mangaluru at 8.05 pm.

Dubai flight

In the meantime, a flight carrying 166 passengers will arrive in Bengaluru today from Dubai. The flight leaves Dubai at 4.30 pm and arrives at Bengaluru at 9.50 pm. Initially, there was information about some passengers from the coast arriving here. But as per current information with the district administration, the flight along with crew will arrive here after all the passengers disembark at Bengaluru.

    People don't have money.., those who have money.. won't take risks.., above all there is no business anywhere around.., there's no commercial justification..

    All business meetings happen nowadays with zoom or Microsoft team or Cisco WebEx applications..,

    Initially there may be some bookings.., by displaced folks, later it will be down to zero.. for sure...

    Lifting of lockdown across the globe is to Make people come back to their senses, else it may cause potential phobia syndrome..,

    The new numbers don't give any comfort, the only solution is vaccine....

    Let's try to first try to figure out.. what we mean by Atmanirbarbharat means..., one can't think and talk about it, while the heart piercing visuals of migrants all across Hindustan

    International commercial flights starting from August, as the statement given by Minister.
    But, domestic will start from May 25.

    But, Karnataka has 14 days Quarantine for People coming from Maharashtra & Tamilnadu. It also has 7 days Institutional Quarantine.

    Is Mangaluru ready for accepting & putting these people in Institutional Quarantine.

    31st May 2020 happens to be the DGCA deadline for the airlines to sort out the issues related to Neo engines of Airbus A-320 .Indigo and Go Air use those engines. One A-320 of PIA crashed yesterday in Karachi due to engine failure ,although it is not known as of now whether neo engine was in use.

    mr. shetty i mean to say if people from mumbai/delhi/gujarath/ t.nadu etc. ( since they are worst effected ) come to mangalore and there is no quarantine proceedure so what wil happen here??? i know they are our people. but still nothing should go wrong here. thas it.

    Mangalore should be final destination for the flights ..via mumbai or bangalore or direct...
    There is no need to alight ..the same flights should fly till mangalore ..
    If there are no symptoms ..after the first test ..they should be allowed home quarantine ..with mandatory arogya setu app

    Aviation head has informed no quarantine is required for domestic passengers, since they are screening before checking in. Mangaloreans are stucked in mumbai, delhi , ,, etc. etc..... If they are asymptomatic but still are positive for covid and no quarantine means.............. !!!!!!!!!???????
