Bengaluru, May 16: In view of the necessity to maintain social distance, the department of primary and secondary education has prepared guidelines to run schools in two shifts.
For first to seventh standards, the shift will be from 7.50 am to 12.20 pm. For eighth to tenth standard students, classes are planned to be held from 12.30 pm to 5 pm. If the number of students in eighth to tenth standards is more, for them also two shift classes will be conducted.

Education minister S Suresh Kumar, said on Saturday that a meeting with experts will be held on Monday to prepare time table for SSLC examination. He said he has already spoken to several experts including Baragur Ramachandrappa on this issue, and asserted that the government is committed to conduct SSLC examination. He also said that the issue of whether to hold the SSLC examination will also be discussed and he has open mind on this issue. The minister also informed that the final dates of the exams will be revealed after May 18. All appearing candidates can check the date sheet on the official website of KSEEB a, kseeb.kar.nic.in, he said.
The minister said that the number of examination centres will have to be much more because of need to maintain social distance. "Some institutions and organizations have volunteered to provide face masks to students. We will also take steps to provide sanitizers," he added.
