Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 15: Both Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts reported no fresh coronavirus-positive cases on Wednesday, April 15. No coronavirus-positive cases have been reported from 11 days now.
As per statistics, in Dakshina Kannada, a total of 39,032 persons have been screened so far, out of whom 1,225 are currently under home quarantine.
No patient has been quarantined in Wenlock hospital, while 25 have been quarantined in ESI hospital.
As many as 4,488 persons have completed 28 days of home quarantine, with no symptoms reported.
Out of the 658 samples sent so far, 498 have tested negative, and a total of 12 tested positive, out of which three are currently active, and nine have been discharged.
On Wednesday, reports of 42 samples were received, all of which were negative. Another 22 samples have been sent to the lab in Wenlock hospital on Wednesday.
Reports of 148 samples are awaited. Fifteen persons are currently admitted for observation.
In Udupi, as on April 15, a total of 1,371 people have completed 28 days of quarantine, with 149 completing the period on April 15. Another 2,016 people have completed 14 days of quarantine, including 42 on April 15.
As many as 56 people are currently under home quarantine, and 31 are in quarantine in hospital. Eleven people were placed under hospital quarantine on Wednesday.
As many as seven patients were discharged from hospital on Wednesday, having fully recovered from coronavirus.
A total of 196 have been discharged from the wards, including two of them on Wednesday.
A total of 643 samples have been collected, with 106 fresh ones on Wednesday alone. Among them, 83 are of those who came into contact with coronavirus suspects and persons who tested positive.
Out of the samples tested so far, 409 have tested negative. Reports of another 231 samples are awaited.
Udupi district has so far reported three coronavirus-positive cases, among whom two were discharged from hospital on April 11 and 14.
Kasargod
One person tested positive on Wednesday in Kerala. No cases were reported in Kasargod. The patient who tested positive is a native of Kannur.
