Mangaluru lady stranded in Bengaluru reaches home, thanks to U T Khader

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalru (AJD)

Mangaluru, Apr 12: While scores of people across the nation have been stranded due to the imposition of lockdown as a measure to contain the spread of coronavirus, a gesture from MLA U T Khader to bring back a Mangaluru lady stranded in Bengaluru has won appreciation.

Madhu Bhat, daughter of Shriram Bhat, a resident of Kulai here, was stranded in Bengaluru after arriving from Italy. She has now been reunited with her family here, thanks to Khader's efforts.

Madhu had boarded the last flight from Italy on March 22, and reached Delhi. She was then put under quarantine, as required of all foreign returnees.

After she was released from quarantine, she came to Bengaluru by a special bus on April 10, but then got stranded in the capital city with no means of transportation to travel to Mangaluru. All modes of transportation are currently suspended due to rise in coronavirus cases, and the entire country is under lockdown.

On learning of her plight, Khader took it upon himself to help the lady, and arranged his own car to bring her safely back to Mangaluru. She is now in her home at Kulai. Madhu and her family thanked the MLA for his generous gesture.

I appriciate the good humanity work done by MLA A.Khader.when all or some of us think why he did to her and not others ,we should think a bit further.I hope it is correct he has done it because she is a lonely girl in no mans land. There are enough problems for a girl in India without anybody around. If there is a possibility to help someone and in a position to do ,certainly can do.He has done it without much announcement I suppose.Hats off dear Bhai.

People coming from different country get help easily, but workers and students who are stranded in different part of India have to literally beg for help but no one ready to help. What kind of partiality is this. Hats off to Indian government. Thank u for letting us die on our own.

.....And let us spare a thought for DC DK. District Madam Sindhu Rupesh also.
A COVID warrior from the front she has worked hard and put in tireless hours of service to implement strict lockdown. It is also due to her efforts that cases here are a bare minimum.Out of 12 cases think 7 are cured.
It is known well that she has a very small kid. However she attends office on time and hardly takes rest.
Kudos to you Madam for the way you have handled the situation.
It is due to your leadership and collective efforts of law enforcers ,various officers, organisations ,local Govt.bodies that we are where we can breathe easy.
    Thank you once again.

Yes. Thanks to Mangalore DC. She always listening people's comments and suggestions and took some quick actions. I request concerned officials to help the people who are in real need. There are so many who
Wants to come back to DK and Udupi for medical treatment. They should open helpline in Big cities and CO ordinate with people who wants to go back. When DK is ready to open gates for Kerala people why not our own people.

The humanitarian gesture of MLA U T Khader is much appreciated.

But there are lot individuals are stranded due to sudden announcement of lock down separated from the formalities eagerly waiting to be united.

Will concern District Administrator, Police commissioner and local MLA's help them in their local constituencies?

She was lamenting that though they were 5 siblings none could attend her funeral.
    Heart wrenching it was....
A class mate of mine is stranded in N K district with his aged parents over 80 here in Mangalore. His elder brother is here luckily. However you know how the old think and worry of each of their children ??
Life has not been easy folks...
That is why I said some are lucky...They get eggs etc free even during these times.

    Bhandumaam,

In my opinion, everybody's cars should be allowed like MLA's cars....with passengers wearing masks and gloves and trying to keep safe distance as far as possible....this is followed everywhere else in the world...unfortunately except India...

Also all shops should be open including Wine shops with a safe distance of 6 feet...except bars, Saloons, Schools and Private non-essential offices...

MLAs and MPs should be treated like all other Citizens...in west they ARE treated exactly like others...absolutely NO-EXCEPTIONS....

First of all let us appreciate the good work by the MLA. Even though Lockdown was necessary, it had also created difficulties in many families as some of the family members are struck to the place where they were. It also created hardships for construction workers and daily wage workers.

    How are you Langoo…….?

We should meet and have KT Chay together at Kalladka as you suggested earlier. Hope you are visiting India after the lockdown is over.
