Kuwait Nov 7: Kuwait Canara Welfare Association (KCWA), one of the largest associations in Kuwait held annual picnic/ Family get together for its members and families on 6th October 2009 at Ahmedi Garden.

With the timing of the picnic perfectly fitting with the changing of climate from summer to winter and pleasant light humid climate, it was a day for the participants of the picnic to take the pleasure in the various sporting activities. The program was well arranged under the presidentship of Rudy D’Souza and with fluent and professional announcements and control from the volunteers of KCWA.

The day started with welcome by President Rudy D’Souza along with prayer. Charles D’Sa and visiting priest Fr. Sunil were present with the president.   A delicious breakfast was served to all.  The day was fully entertaining and sportive with many games for all the age categories and enjoyed well by every one.

Traditional and entertaining games like 7 tiles, Musical News paper, tooth picking chips, water drinking duck, blowing balloons, balloon between backs race, banana race, Musical petting the pet, Breaking the pot (Modki Phutaunchi), Shot put etc were segregated as per the age groups. A delicious lunch was served to all. 

The afternoon sessions had more entertainment programs, music and dances.  All enjoyed fun games like Dumb Charades, ball relay, Hoola hoop race, peel Orange linked arm race, wet pyjama relay, weaving the key, single wicket cricket, dog & the bone, Khokho and Tug of war.  Housie Housie was conducted for all the gathered and the amount collected were dedicated for the motto of KCWA which is education for needy at back home.  In general it was a fully entertaining and fun filled day out.
