Bengaluru, Feb 22: Home minister Basavaraj Bommai pointed out that a new trend is emerging, where students especially girls are being used to create communal disharmony. This is a larger part of the conspiracy hatched by certain ‘anti-national elements’, he told reporters at Davangere on Saturday.
Bommai was referring to Amulya Leona and Arudra, who were arrested recently in separate cases in Bengaluru for raising pro-Pakistan slogans. While Amulya chanted pro-Pakistan slogans at an anti-CAA event in Bengaluru, Arudra held a "Kashmir Mukti (liberation), Dalit Mukti, Muslim Mukti" placard at a protest organized by Hindu Jagaran Vedike demanding action against Amulya. Arudra then started chanting pro-Pakistan slogans.
“Amulya has spoken about the ‘anti-national forces’ that aid her in her earlier videos. There are forces ready to assist the anti-national forces and have made arrangements to provide legal aid. These forces aim to create disharmony among different faiths. We shall uproot these forces and their network. The government is keeping a close watch on these elements,” he said.
He further added a meeting with a senior police officer has been convened to look into the issue.
Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike corporator Imran Pasha has also been summoned by the police to find out who invited Amulya to the rally.
