Karkala: Kedinje Canara Bank distributes free school uniform, Pratibha Puraskar awards

Karkala, Dec 9: Students of Kedinje Sri Vidya Bodini aided higher primer school were given free school uniforms and Pratibha Puraskar award by Kedinje Canara Bank. The programme was held at Jinna Venkanna Shetty memorial school auditorium.

The programme was presided over by B P Nanjundappa, AGM of Canara Bank regional office. Ramesh K Pai, divisional manager of Canara Bank regional office Udupi, U Sheshagiri Kamath, president of Kedinje U Subbanna Kamath education trust and Suresh Kamath, member of school administrative committee were the chief guests. Abhishek Kumar, senior manager of Kedinje Canara Bank was present on the dais.

Retired head teacher of the school K Anil Kumar did the introductory speech. Current head teacher of the school Prathiviraj Ballal compered the programme. Assistant teacher of the school Rekha Pai welcomed the gathering.

Nishmith, Sneha and Amrutheshwara, students who secured highest marks in seventh standard for the academic year 2018-19 were honoured with Pratibha Puraskar award.

Shyam Shetty, member of school administrative committee, N Sudhakar Rao, retired head teacher of school, Dinesh Poojary Birottu, president of old students' association of the school, Sandeep V Poojary Abbanadka, secretary, Harini Sundara Poojary, president of school development committee, Mamatha, Jayalaxmi, Reshma, Chethana, honorary teachers of the school, students and parents of students were present on the occasion.
