Puttur, Dec 6: After a huge blast happened inside a house at Saralikana in Bettampady village in the taluk on Thursday, December 5 night, four persons suffered injuries.
The incident happened at the house of Balakrishna Gowda at Saralikana. In addition to Balakrishna Gowda, his sister-in-law Vedavathi, and her children Monisha and Kartik, were injured. The injuries suffered by Balakrishna are of very serious nature, it is gathered. All of them were hospitalized.
Balakrishna Gowda is skilled in making different types of firecrackers on a large scale for festivals and other events. He had stocked explosive material for the purpose at his house, which accidentally went off, it is learnt.
Police personnel of Sampya station here visited the spot and undertook probe.
