Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Nov 29: For the first time, Tabu, wife of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, Dinesh Gun Rao, plunged into electioneering on Thursday November 28. She actively campaigned for Congress candidate from Shivajinagar constituency, Rizwan Arshad.

She said that the Congress has chosen the right candidate in the form of Rizwan Arshad to fight this election. "He knows this constituency well and I am confident that he will win. The notion that I had sought Congress ticket from this constituency is not right. Rizwan is the right candidate and the party has selected an apt candidate," she stated.

Tabu said she will campaign for Rizwan and try to get as many votes as possible for him and said that the party workers have given the feedback to her that the constituency has pro-Congress environment.

"I do not believe in caste or religion based politics. Irrespective of one's caste or religion, the focus should be on addressing people's problems. This is politics in real sense. I am sure that Rizwan will win and will become a legislator who responds to the people's feelings and address their problems," she said.
