Udupi: 26 nomads in tents near national highways asked to shift to safe location

Udupi, Nov 23: The district child protection unit Udupi and district citizen service committee in a joint operation asked 26 nomads of five families from Rajasthan living beside national highways near Karavali bypass in tents to shift to safe locations.

The places where the nomads are likely to stay repeatedly have been dug by Navyug company with the help of JCB to prevent their stay resulting in accidents.

District child protection officer Sadananda, legal inspection officer Prabhaker Achar, negotiator Ambika K S, social activist Yogish and district citizen service committee trust’s Nithyananda Olakadu took part in the operation.
