Byndoor, Nov 21: "The gram panchayats have to prepare reports of silt removal of all the vented dams under every gram panchayat and submit the same to the Mines and Geology department in order to retain more water in the dam. The sand available during the silt removal process should be distributed to government works as well as to the needy public. The main priority is for the drinking water availability. The retention of water will increase due to silt removal. The level of ground water will increase. So the water scarcity during the summer months will reduce," said MLA B M Sukumar Shetty.
Sukumar Shetty was speaking at the meeting of gram panchayat development officers that was held at the auditorium of Kundapur taluk panchyat.

Do not make then run to office every now and then. If anyone has lost or damage has happened to their house due to natural calamity give them compensation immediately. Do your work as if it is work of God. I will never tolerate dereliction of duty."
