Mangaluru, Nov 20: The department of Pathology, Father Muller Medical College organized a day-long ‘CME on Gynaec Oncopathology – An Update’ on November 15 in Conference Hall, FMMCH, with guest speakers Dr Divya Midha, Senior Consultant, Department of Oncopathology, Tata Memorial Hospital, Kolkata and Dr Suma M N, Associate Professor of Pathology, Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncopathology, Bengaluru, was also the chief guest for the event. Fr Ajith B Menezes, FMMC presided over the function.
The chief guest, who is also alumni of FMMC, spoke about the importance of the three year masters programme and Subspecialisation in Pathology. Dr Jayaprakash Alva, Dean FMMC, was present at the Inauguration, Dr Jayaprakash C S, organizing chairperson; professor and head of Pathology introduced the chief guest and Dr Ashima N Amin, assistant professor of Pathology and organizing secretary of the CME, delivered the vote of thanks.
Deliberation on diagnostic approach, pitfalls recent advances in Gynaec Oncopathology were held by the guest speakers. Panel discussions were also held with experts in the field of Pathology, Oncology and Gynaecology. Over 100 delegates attended the CME from Medical Colleges and Hospitals in and around Mangaluru.
