Mangaluru, Oct 25: The inaugural function of a two-day workshop on 'Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence' was held on Thursday October 24 by the department of Computer Science & Engineering in association with Symposium IIT, Mumbai, for the students of fifth semester.
Ashish Patil, design engineer, Indian Tech Group, Mumbai in his inaugural address said that there is an exponential growth in the adoption of AI and ML technologies due to the increasing need for intelligent and accurate decision making and hence these are poised to remain the most important technologies in the years to come.
Dr Shrinivasa Mayya D, principal of the college, in his presedential address encouraged the students to actively involve in the workshop and thereby carry forward the knowledge gained for future aspects.
Dr Shivakumar G S, HOD, CS & E was present.
The programme was welcomed by Prof Sudarshan K, associate professor, department of CSE and Sahara Shetty delivered the vote of thanks.
The whole programme was compered by Sarvath Sulthana. More than 75 students attended this workshop.
