Mangaluru, Oct 12: Expert Pre-university College, Valachil, embarked yet another remarkable milestone in the teaching-learning process with the inauguration of Expert e-learn Studio.
Dr Shivsharan Shetty, syndicate member, Rajiv Gandhi University of Heath Sciences Bengaluru and member, Dental Council of India, inaugurated the studio. Speaking on the occasion he appreciated the new initiative of the Expert group of Institutions to reach out with technology integrated learning. He shared his optimism by stating that students even from rural areas of India would be able to make use of this peerless resource.
Delivering the presidential address Prof Narendra L Nayak, chairman, Expert Group of Institutions, said that Expert e-learning Studio will herald a revolutionary change in learning strategy of both P U and Competitive exam aspirants. He appreciated the relentless hard work of Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak, vice chairperson, Expert Group of Institutions, for making e-learning studio a reality.
Expert e-learn studio, where online learning resources will be produced and shared, is a student centred learning strategy designed with a view to facilitate students with authentic knowledge beyond the constraints of space and time.
“Our objectives is to create a user friendly, effective and affordable e-learning system for competitive exams including NEET/JEE etc by exploring the expertise of Experts. The essential features include all materials including Multiple Choice Questions will be in electronic form, whereas the explanation of the concepts and problem solving steps will be in video formats, said Ushaprabha N Nayak, the Vice chairperson.
Dr Ushaprabha N Nayak presented a memento to Dr Shivsharan Shetty and rendered the vote of thanks.
Earlier, Hemanth Perody, planning and development manager, Expert PU College, briefed the gathering about the Expert E-learn Studio.
Ustad Rafeeq Khan, trustee, Expert Group of Institutions, Raghavendra Shenoy, vice principal and the members of faculty were present on the occasion.
Anitha Shetty, lecturer in English, extended a cordial welcome to the dignitaries and compered the programme.
