Mangaluru, Oct 2: St Aloysius College, Harihar on September 29 organized an alumni meet where students of the past ten years gathered to share their joy and memories. The meet began by invoking God’s blessing followed by an ice-breaking session conducted by Fr Pradeep Sequeira. He asked the delegates to share their experiences and memories on what they learnt whilst they studied in the college and one teacher who influenced them and their thoughts about the college.
A few students were also allowed to share their experiences.
The second session was followed by an introduction and glimpse of the happenings in the college conducted by Sunny Gudinho, principal of PU College. He shared with the delegates the events and achievements of the college for the past four months.
Fr Eric Mathias, superior and principal of Degree College, addressed the crowd and motivated the delegates to collaborate and network with the mother institution in the coming events. He also encouraged the students to reflect on at least one of the four Universal Apostolic Preferences this year.
The session ended with lunch and a volleyball match between the present and old students.
The students cherished their old memories by visiting the classrooms they were taught in, the benches they sat on, the corridors they interacted with their friends and all the time they spent at the campus.
Each corner reminded them of some memory or experience they cherished or learnt from their teachers, friends or what they learnt.
Friends met and friends left, but what they expressed was that their memories remained with them and the corrections their teachers made, shaped their lives and helped them get a better and secure future.
