Mangalore, Jul 13: The inauguration of the silver jubilee celebrations of Fr Muller Homeopathic Medical College (FMHMC) will be held at its college auditorium at 10.00 am on Tuesday July 14.
Dr Veerabrahmachary, president, Bangalore Karnataka Board of Homeopathic System of Medicine, will be the chief guest on the occasion.
FMHMC founder director and Bendore St Sebastian parish priest Fr Peter Noronha will be the guest of honour.
Fr Muller Charitable Institutions (FMCI) director Fr Patrick Rodrigues will preside over the programme.
As a part of the celebrations, the silver jubilee logo will be released and new homeopathic rural health centres and the ‘Homeopathic Drug Proving Project’ will be launched.
During the year-long programme, there will be CME programmes from each department every month where faculty members and students from different homeopathic medical colleges, and practitioners from all over India will participate.
There will be an international homeopathic conference in February 2010 where eminent speakers will be invited to share their experiences in homeopathy. There will be an alumni meet of FMHMC, inter-collegiate cultural competitions, and a medical exhibition to mark the occasion. The grand finale will be held in July 2010.
FMCI administrator Fr Wilfred Prakash D’Souza, silver jubilee committee chairman and FMHMC principal Dr S K Tiwari, deputy chairman and vice-principal Dr Srinath Rao, and organizing secretary Dr Shivaprasad K were present at the press conference.
